Whether you already know what you want to do, or still need some time to explore all the possibilities, Career Services has resources to help you prepare for life after Wabash – all you have to do is take the initiative to seek them out! Talking with the Career Services staff is a great first step in identifying what opportunities you should take advantage of first.
StrengthsQuest is a tool for helping you identify your talents, and equip you to turn your talents into strengths. Understanding your strengths can be applied to how you approach finding meaningful career options, but also working in teams as it applies to your campus involvement or academic work.
The Big Picture
- 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网 all have distinctive talents
- You can develop strengths by investing in your talents. You’re much more likely to reach your full potential by focusing on developing your strengths, rather than trying to compensate for your weaknesses.
- You can only get out what you put in. You don’t need to spend a great deal of time on each item in the assessment, but be thoughtful about your responses.
StrengthsQuest uses over 3 decades of research identifying more than 400 talents to help you identify your “Signature Themes”. Each theme represents a group of talents that come to you naturally.
By combining your talents with skill and knowledge, you can develop them into strengths. Whether you agree with your results or not, spending some time considering why or why not you agree with them can help you understand what will be fulfilling to you in a career. It’s important to be able to communicate to others your strengths and how you do your best work in many situations, too - in an interview or when networking with alumni, for example.
