Friday, June 2, 2023

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Registration in Chadwick Court - Allen Center. Stop by Chadwick Court for latest Big Bash information. There you’ll have the opportunity to sign the Alumni Register, which is important for your class as it competes for the attendance awards. Big Bash at Wabash

10:00 a.m. - Wally Wabash Golf Outing. Grab a few classmates and form a foursome for the Wally Wabash Golf Outing. Foursomes will compete in a Florida scramble, best ball format with a shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded for low gross, as well as for closest to the pin and longest drive. Directions to the course available at registration. Rocky Ridge Golf Club - 3965 N 625 E, Crawfordsville, IN 47933 (near Darlington).

11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., & 3:00 p.m. - 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网 Tours. Tour guides from the Sons of Wabash will lead alumni and friends on tours of campus. Each tour is about an hour in length, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Golf carts will be provided for alumni and guests who have difficulty walking. Tours depart from the steps of the Allen Center at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. - 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网lcome Back Luncheon. 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网 offer a casual buffet lunch in the Knowling Fieldhouse. Catch up with other alumni, faculty, and current students at the luncheon.

12:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Wally in the Arena: A Symposium on College Sports and the Liberal Arts. The annual symposium is presented through a partnership of Wabash College faculty, staff, and alumni. The presentations, offered simultaneously throughout the afternoon, will feature alumni, faculty, or staff and will demonstrate the breadth and depth of the liberal arts on a specific topic. 

1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Wally's Pub. Join your classmates and other alumni and friends for a drink at Wally’s pub located in the Sparks Center.

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Big Bash Banquet - Knowling Fieldhouse - Allen Center.  

8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. - Wally's Pub. Join your classmates and other alumni and friends for a drink at Wally’s pub located in the Sparks Center.

Big Bash Bike Ride8:00 a.m. - Bike Ride. If you ride, plan to bring your bike and join others for this recently added Big Bash activity. 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网 will lead you on a ride throughout Crawfordsville and Montgomery County starting and ending at the parking lot south of Knowling Fieldhouse. 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网 will have you back to campus in time to prepare for Chapel Sing.

8:30 a.m. - Fun Run/Walk. If you run, you’ll want to compete in a two-mile or four-mile race that begins on Huntsman track in Little Giant Stadium. If you walk, shake it loose early, grab a buddy, and join the fun.

9:45 a.m., 2:15 p.m., & 3:30 p.m. - 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网 Tours. Tour guides from the Sons of Wabash will lead alumni and friends on tours of campus. Big Bash - Chapel11:00 a.m. - Alumni Chapel Sing - Pioneer Chapel. There won’t be any “W” haircuts given this time, so if you forget a word or two, no big deal. But there will be singing when Wabash hosts its annual Alumni Chapel Sing. You’ll sing along with members of your class and compete against the other nine reunion classes. Volume counts, so don’t let your mates down. Learn the words to Old Wabash all over again, stretch your vocal chords, and relive what many Wabash men recall as their fondest Wabash memory.

12:00 p.m. - Picnic Lunch - Knowling Fieldhouse - Allen Center. 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网’ll wrap up our Alumni Chapel Sing with a festive and casual picnic in the Knowling Fieldhouse.

1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Class Photographs. Class reunion photographs will be taken in the Allen Center. Bring your spouse/partner as two photos of each class, with and without spouses/partners, will be taken.

1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Wally's Pub. Join your classmates and other alumni and friends for a drink at Wally’s Pub located in the Sparks Center.

2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. - Wabash Today (Salter Hall, Fine Arts Center). Wabash's 17th President Scott Feller will offer Big Bash attendees an update on the College.

2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Academic Department Receptions. Some academic departments are hosting receptions to welcome back their majors and minors for Big Bash. 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网 hope you will stop by the designated location to meet the faculty.

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Student housing open for visits. All Fraternities (Except Beta) and Williams Hall will be open for visitors.

3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. - Colloquium (Hays Hall 003):  Ideas Like Fire.  Richard Gunderman '83 has spent 40 years living with his senior colloquium on sociobiology.  In this session, he reflects on the benefits and hazards of taking seriously the idea that moral life can be grounded in biology. 

3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. - Colloquium (Hays Hall 104): Flying to Spying: Reflections on a Life of Leading. Frank Buerger ’73 reflects on a life of leading.  He will discuss what it means to lead and the lessons learned from his time as a Naval Aviator, Peacekeeper, Diplomat, Warfighter, Intelligence Officer, and currently a War College Professor.

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Spouses and Partners Reception - Lilly Library. Spouses and partners of Wabash alumni are invited to a reception hosted by 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网ndy Feller. 

3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - W Club Lounge and press box (Little Giant Stadium) open for visits. Drop by Little Giant Stadium for a chance to look around the W Club Lounge and press box.

4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. - Colloquium (Hays Hall 003): AI vs. MD – Will Intelligent Machines Replace your Family Physician?  In this thought-provoking presentation, Dr. Randall Williams ’83 will explore the imminent clash between artificial intelligence and traditional medical practice, raising the question of whether your trusted family doctor will soon be replaced by artificial intelligence. Discover the potential benefits and challenges that AI brings to healthcare and join us in reimagining the future of how we give and receive care in an era of rapid technological advancement.

4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. - Colloquium (Hays Hall 104): Distilling Your Passion. Join David 168体育平台下载_足球即时比分-注册|官网glarz '03 as he shares his experiences, triumphs, and setbacks over a decade in the craft spirits industry.  He will talk about distilling your passion to carve your own path and how he turned an idea in his head into one of the most awarded distilleries in the Milky Way.

5:30 p.m. - All Class Reception - Little Giant Stadium Concourse. Reunion classes will come together for a large reception in the concourse (Little Giant Stadium). 

6:45 p.m. - Class Dinners. Following the reception, classes will disperse to assigned dinner locations to enjoy dinner and conversation with classmates. Dinner will be served at 6:45 p.m. and locations will be noted in your registration packets.

8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. - Wally's Pub. Join your classmates and other alumni and friends for a drink at Wally’s pub located in the Sparks Center.

8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Informal Buffet Breakfast. Wrap up the weekend on campus and bid farewell to your classmates and other alumni and friends at an informal breakfast. There will be no program and you can come and go in your own time.
