Program Manager for the Center for Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship

Wabash College seeks candidates for the position of Program Manager for the Center for Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship (CIBE). This is a 12-month, full-time position within the Professional Development team. The Program Manager will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the co-curricular, experiential business program.

The successful applicant will possess the ability to think strategically, plan and execute programs and events, and work under tight deadlines; a well-developed sense of prioritization; exceptional written and oral communications skills.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team of students, and supporting the overall work of the CIBE. Candidate must have a genuine interest in working with talented students to solve business and community issues.

This position reports to the Director of Professional Development and CIBE.  

Duties: 

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise students in the Innovation Consultant program
  • Provide project management for CIBE engagements with clients both on- and off- campus, including project design, facilitation, research, and reporting  
  • Managing professional relationships with community partners and clients
  • Report on engagement project timelines and deliverables to senior staff
  • Interfaces professionally with and reports progress to CIBE Advisory Committee 
  • Support the work of the Professional Development team
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:  

  • Project Management experience, including use of software tools
  • Direct experience working with students, preferably at the collegiate level and/or within a liberal arts setting
  • Has driven projects or initiatives to completion within an entrepreneurial or business context
  • Knowledgeable of or experience in a consulting role
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in producing reports and working with multiple constituencies
  • Interest in being an engaged member of a vibrant campus community

  Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of constituencies, both internal and external to the College
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage simultaneous projects with exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Experience leading and developing teams, producing high quality deliverables
